Video: Exhibition documenting six years inside Carver’s JROTC program opens at Columbus Museum

A wonderful exhibition of documentary photography is now on display at the Columbus Museum in Columbus, Georgia. “Jessica Ingram: We Are Carver” is an exhibition of photography documenting six years of the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program at George Washington Carver High School in Columbus. It’s on display until Feb. 14, 2027. The exhibition brings together portraits, candid photographs, conversations, and classroom ephemera “that offer an intimate look at students as they navigate adolescence, identity, friendship, responsibility, and the transition into adulthood.” The Museum is hosting a public reception on Thursday, October 15, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. The Museum is inviting visitors to explore the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments prior to a panel discussion at 6:30 p.m. with Ingram and several of the students featured in the project. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
