In the final phase of the Making Conversation with Warren Williams Homes oral history project, a 9-foot sculpture aptly named "Making Conversations" was unveiled in the community. Making Conversation Closing Reception + Artist Workshop

A partnership between The Columbus Museum, The Housing Authority of Columbus, Ga. and residents of the Warren Williams Homes has resulted in a four-phase oral history project. The final phase of the project will be a 9-foot sculpture in the Warren Williams community to be completed by artist Deedee Morrison in late summer 2019. A closing reception for the Making Conversation exhibition at the Museum was held in late May, followed by a workshop with the artist and Warren Williams residents for input on the sculpture.

We had a great time next door at the Warren Williams Community Center Saturday! Individuals and residents of Warren Williams made new connections and became volunteers for the Museum during our workshop. We are excited to welcome them on board!
